Who is Joyce? 初めまして！ ジョイスといいます！ Hello, I am Joyce！ I am JLPT N1 qualified, and have graduated from the University of Queensland with extended majoring in Japanese (highest stream). I love to watch Japanese anime and drama, also listening to Japanese music when I have time.

My Story
I have been learning Japanese since I was 12 and have had the opportunities to study and work with native Japanese, especially on the experience working as an online Japanese shop assistant and waitress in Japanese restaurants. Although it was not a direct teaching experience, I have been required to use Japanese to communicate on my work. In addition, I have been doing volunteer to teach primary school students beginner-level Japanese in summer holiday class.
As a student myself, I understand the challenges and difficulties in learning Japanese as a second language. I would love to assist students who want to enhance different aspects of Japanese, including reading, writing, speaking and listening. Conversational Japanese is my speciality - I know everything on the way to communicate in Japanese and with Japanese people. どこまでも日本語の勉強に付き合います！ I am flexible on what you up to, either personal Japanese skills improvement, Japanese school work, or anything! I believe tutoring should be adapted to the student's needs as we all learn differently. The key is to find what works best for each individual.

Beginner Japanese is not only for beginner learners.
Being a “beginner” is a mindset rather than a level. It means holding onto the curiosity, motivation, and excitement you had when you first decided to learn Japanese. We believe that no matter where you are in the world, or whether you have ever lived in Japan, you can continue to grow by staying connected to that original spark. Our lessons support learners at every stage while helping you keep that beginner mindset, because real progress comes from not forgetting why you started.
